The Benching of CloudNguyen

What?

The decision to bench Stephen “CloudNguyen” Nguyen in favor of Andrew “Azingy” Zamarripa is definitely a questionable one. Just last Cloud was getting praised on the analyst desk by his teammate, KiWiKiD.

After replacing Crumbzz, Cloud posted a 3-3 record with the team.  While that’s not the most spectacular record, keep in mind who the three losses were against: Cloud 9, Counter Logic Gaming, and Team Solo Mid, the top 3 teams in the NALCS.

On top of that, his two victories against Team Liquid and Winterfox were definite upsets.

We’re coming up on Week 6 in the LCS, and Team Dignitas find themselves in a tricky spot.  They’re currently in the relegation zone, but are also only one game behind the massive tie for fourth place. Is another roster swap really what they need? 3-3 might not be great, but it is consistent.

I mean no disrespect to Azingy and I hope he does well, but thrusting him into this scenario is a dangerous gamble by Dignitas.  It’ll take a while to rebuild team chemistry with a new jungler. What this team definitely needs is an actual coach. Someone to give them direction, someone to right the ship. Or else the once prestigious Team Dignitas may see themselves relegated.

Regardless, dongers will be flown at half-mast for CloudNguyen.

They definitely should have stuck with him.
